MEM - OKC - ABQ

2015-07-16 Freedom!

It's been a grueling month, ranking among the more stressful of my life--enough that, for a period I didn't even feel fit to fly. That's over, and there will be an announcement soon about this project, but for now, Tim & I are relaxing in Albuquerque, NM.

We went from home to Beach Blast, then to Memphis, dropped Tim off then I went on to the Endless footdrag and finally dropped the Enterprise in OKC while I went home to work on the project. Everything got put on hold until a few days ago.

I'm out here with no mission, nothing to review, my regular wing and motor, and looking forward to visiting, touring, and, of course flying. Riding the tram up to Sandia Peak was fun. What a view!

Coming out of the Sandia parking lot we were looking at Airspace since ABQ airport is not that far away. Even though we're below the outer ring of their "C," it's close to the ground--a few hundred feet. Where we're looking to fly it's probably 1000'. We'll see.

This was a quick visit and we didn't get to see anyone but hope to next time on the way out. Our plan is to attend Burning Man, something that I've wanted to do but never had the opportunity.

Tim poses briefly on a well-worn tourist rock. It was so cool to see geologic processes laid bare. Right at our feet were 300 million year old seabed fossils.
